"Kings are Slaves to History"

In life, your past only matters after your death. It is the only thing that remains of you on this earth. While you're here, it's all about what you've done lately. Caleb Cale is fine with that. He's had more belts strapped around his waist than over half of the talent in RISE, not to mention a an AWA World Championship. He is anxious, wishing he could move time forward at a quicker pace. He can't wait to finally show what he is capable of. This is the life of a King. He is a slave to his history...well...he was a slave to his history.

Place: The Seattle Space Needle
Time: 6:45 P.M.

(Caleb Cale slowly walked around the outside area of the Space Needle observation deck. In the distance the sun started to inch closer to the ocean. for a moment you could see him experience a peaceful moment. There was no agenda, no deadline, no plan to follow. It was just him. Those moments didn't last long, as there was a buzz in his coat pocket. The text on his phone simply read, "Here". Caleb gathers himself and adjusts his three piece suit to look perfect. He drops the phone back into his coat pocket and turns to enter the main seating area of the Space Needle. At the bar he spots Zeek Williams. Cale slowly walks up to the bar and addresses the bartender.)

Caleb Cale: "Gin, please."

(Caleb turns his head to look at Zeek. They stare at each other for a minute until the bartender brakes the silence. He slides the Gin to Caleb and then addresses Zeek.)

Bartender: "And you, sir?"

(Zeek turns his head ever so slightly towards Caleb, peering at him from under the hood of his sweatshirt. Slowly he turns his eyes toward the bartender.)

Zeek Williams: "Whiskey. Straight."

Caleb Cale: "Well, well, good to see somethings never change."

(Caleb peers down at the glass and then turns to Zeek)

Caleb Cale: "You know, you probably shouldn't get into the right for another 3-4 weeks right? That bruising still looks rather mild..."

(Caleb sips from his glass.)

Caleb Cale: "Thank you for coming..."

(Zeek snickers as his lips curl into a smirk. Turning to face Caleb more he shrugs nonchalantly.) Zeek Williams: "Doctor's orders?" (Zeek's attention is pulled away momentarily as the bartender returns with his drink. Zeek grabs his fingers around the glass but makes no attempt to drink it. His curiosity getting the better of him.) Zeek Williams: "I was surprised when I got the call. Not everyday Caleb Cale and Zeek Williams meet in a bar. I'm assuming whatever the reason... it's good."

(Caleb smirks)

Caleb Cale: "...Witty still too. Ezekiel, I didn't come here to simply exchange pleasantries. I'm sure there is enough of that coming from Ms. Richards.

(Caleb takes another sip and then returns his eyes to Zeek.)

Caleb Cale: Ms. Black... Tell me everything...

(Zeek visibly tenses hearing Caleb mention Savannah but he forces himself to relax. He lifted his drink to his lips taking a slow, deliberate sip taking his time in responding.) Zeek Williams: "Answer something for me first." (Zeek sets his drink down and turns back to Caleb, his expression serious.) Zeek Williams: "Why RISE? Why now? And don't feed me any of that bullshit you fed Nichols."

Caleb Cale: "Oh, Ms. Nichols...(chuckles) Don't you remember when they were the only mouth piece we had?

(Caleb takes another sip of his Gin and then puts the glass down. He uses his index finger and runs it around the rim of the glass, just enough to start to make an annoying screech. He abruptly stops.)

Caleb Cale: "Initially...I came here to finish you."

(Caleb's eyes pierce into Zeek)

(Zeek returns Caleb's stare and then suddenly laughs sharply seeming amused by Caleb's dark confession.) Zeek Williams: "And now...?"

(Caleb's eyes soften and he returns his attention to his beverage.)

Caleb Cale: "Ezekiel, I believe out of anyone you know the effects of cancer..."

(Zeek's eyes narrow as glares into Caleb's eyes. A million thoughts surge through his mind. His right hand instinctively folds into a fist. Catching himself he smirks and nods his head slowly, taking in his surroundings, Caleb's position in relation to his own.) Zeek Williams: "I'm sure you didn't call me here to brawl in the bar of the Space Needle. So why don't you get to the point."

Caleb Cale: "You're right. I'm not here to cause a scene, just plan one out is all. You see, even though I have had my license to practice revoked it hasn't stopped me from being a doctor. And while I may have not always been ethical, especially for the past 5 years, it doesn't mean there isn't a fragment of me that doesn't care. You see...Cancer surgeries were my favorite. Do you know why?

(Caleb interrupts before Zeek can respond.)

Caleb Cale: Because it is simply the hardest surgery of them all, especially after it spreads. I came to RISE because I thought you were the Cancer. I wanted to cut you out before you spread. The reality is that I believe you aren't at least for now. It's Ms. Black who is the issue. She is my issue. She is your issue. She is RISE's issue...

(Caleb takes a sip and remains silent.)

(Zeek nods his head slowly unable to keep himself from picturing his adversaries from tearing each other apart. A confident smile forms on his lips.) Zeek Williams: "Jessica Black huh?" (Zeek again lifts his glass to his lips and takes another long, deliberate sip.) Zeek Williams: "Well let's see. Second generation wrestler. Talented. But I'm sure your extensive files already told you that. I assume you want to know from the perspective of someone who's been in the ring with her." (Again Zeek nods his head slowly.) Zeek Williams: "Her bark's better than her bite. Her mouth writes checks her ass can't cash. Whatever cliche tickles ya. Chick's talented, won't deny that. She's even more talented in her own mind. Her ego allows her to become unfocused. She has this... superiority complex. Claims she doesn't care what the fans think of her but goes out of her way to insult them. She leaves openings you could drive a fucking freight train through. Her ego and her belief in her abilities are going to get her hurt..."

Caleb Cale: So why didn't you beat her?

(Zeek shrugs nonchalantly.) Zeek Williams: "Aside from being handcuffed to the ropes by the McCoys...? It'll be rectified."

(Caleb checks his watch)

Caleb Cale: "Well consider tonight that opportunity to take the first step..."

(Zeek raises an eyebrow curiously as he appraises Caleb.) Zeek Williams: "Unless you've got Black and a referee under those fine Italian threads of your's, I don't see how you can help me."

(Caleb smiles and then finishes his drink.)

Caleb Cale: "I looked at your mother's file...I could have saved her... It'd be a shame to see another Williams' not have my help."

(Zeek laughs softly visibly amused.) Zeek Williams: "You assume a lot. But okay... you're obviously a man with a plan. Let's hear it."

Caleb Cale: "In my old line of work I could never assume. I decided to never make it a habit. You see Ezekiel, it's you who actually will make the next move... When you know...call me."

(Caleb drops his card on the bar and begins to walk out. The card is clean and white, with the bold blck logo of 2 interlocking C's and Caleb's number. Zeek stares at the card in silence. After several moments of complete still Zeek reaches out snatching the card off the bar and shoves it into the pocket of his jeans. He gulps down the remainder of his drink and motions to the bartender for one more.)

"All of These Bones Brake"

(The scene opens with a large board back lit with led lights. The shadow of two chairs, one with a back and one that is backless, much like a low sitting bar stool on wheels. A door to the right opens and it illuminates the room briefly before a man and a woman walk in. Through hearing the banter between the two of them it's obvious that it is Caleb "The Surgeon" Cale and Kelly Nichols, Rise Interviewer. Caleb gestures to the backed chair.)

Caleb Cale: "Miss Nichols, please have a seat..."

(The light now illuminates our two subjects. Kelly is dressed in a tight shirt that accentuates every movement. She has finished off the ensemble with a grey turtleneck and a black blazer that goes over it. Cale is dressed equally impressive. Long grey editor pants that stop just at the lower ankle before his Boston Traveler Oxfords. He is slightly more casual than usual up top, wearing a navy button down with the two top buttons undone and sleeves rolled up to his forearm. In his had is a folder in which he pulls x-ray after x-ray and places it on the back lit board.  He stands staring at them momentarily and can't help but to form a slight grin. He then sits in the wheeled chair and slowly pulls himself close to Kelly Nichols. At first she is a little thrown by what she's just witnessed, but snaps back into her professional manner.)

Kelly Nichols: "Mr.Cale..."

Caleb Cale: "Yes..."

(Kelly gathers some questions she had prepared for Caleb and proceeds.)

Kelly Nichols: "Thank you for giving me the chance to get to know who you are a little better. I understand that you had a very successful stint in the AWA before deciding to get back into wresting. You were even the AWA Champion at one point. After the promotion closed its doors you were no where to be found. Where did you go? What did you do?

(Caleb strokes his chin and lets his eyes wonder to the board gathering his thoughts before returning his attention to Kelly Nichols.)

Caleb Cale: "Well Ms. Nichols, when you can't practice in the United States, land of the free...you have to get creative. I spent my time studying numerous cases through out the world. Places where a "helping hand" is appreciated, no matter the way that the hand helps..."

(Kelly swallows hard, she is smart and has done her research. She knows who she's in the room with.)

Kelly Nichols: "After Uprising you took to twitter, leaving cryptic messages not only for Rise as a whole, but more specifically, Zeek Williams. Why was this the time for you to resurface?"

(An evil smile forms on the lips of Cale, he bows his head and then looks back up at Ms.Nichols.)

Caleb Cale: "I watched three ghosts stand together on Friday night. I knew all of them, whether it was to merely acknowledge them, manipulate them...or brake them. I saw them and thought to myself that if there is still a challenge out there like them...I want back in. I became obsessed with the idea of seeing what I could still do."

(Caleb closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, he then opens his eyes.)

Caleb Cale: "It is even...if I can say...intoxicating to think about what I can do."

(Caleb wheels over to the board with x-rays.)

Kelly Nichols: "I was just about to ask about those..."

(Caleb points to a x-ray of what looks to be the ribs.)

Caleb Cale: "This? This is Zeek William's ribs. Can you see the bruising on the bones here? So...so fragile. Or look here..."

(Caleb points to a x-ray of a knee.)

Caleb Cale: "Ms. Black's meniscus has taken so much punishment. look at the discoloration here...It can't take much more without having it completely removed."

(Kelly Nichols looks shocked and fascinated all at the same time.)

Kelly Nichols: "How about that one of the broken bone in the shoulder?"

Caleb Cale: "That one is of some of my past work. I figured I would let Mr. Kincade know what bone of his I will snap April 3rd...The clavicle bone. That way we all won't have to watch him ridiculously raise his arms up to strum on a make believe guitar. He'll be lucky to raise his arms...at all."

(Kelly's look of shock and awe has now become one of shock.)

Caleb Cale: "Was this the big interview you were looking for? Were you looking to hunt down the monster you've researched about? Well you have what you need I believe...You can go now...

(The scene fades out with Kelly Nichols quickly gathering her things and Caleb turning the other direction.)

"The First Cut"

(The Scene opens with a figure looking out a large window. He stands tall behind a long oak desk. moments later a thin blond woman enters the scene. She is dressed in a pencil skirt, blouse, and has her hair in a bun. She lays a file on the man's desk and stands astutely to the side of it. She stares at him for a minute before speaking. He continues to look out the window, either caught in thought or choosing to actively ignore her.)

Secretary: "Mr.Cale, The information you asked for is on your desk."

(Cale twists his upper torso, only slightly acknowledging her existence.)

Cale: "Airline tickets?"

Secretary: "Ye..Yes Sir"

Cale: "Rental Car?"

Secretary: "Yes, Sir."

Cale: "Hotel?"

Secretary: "The Authority asked me to relay the message that you already have accommodations with the other RISE talent, Caleb"

(Cale turns completely to face her and sharpens his stare)
Secretary: "Uh, Sor...Mr. Cale"

(Cale eases his glare)

Cale: "Ana, If I wanted to wake up in a room that was surly once used for a hourly prostitution ring I would have no problem letting a man who is presumptuous enough to call himself, "The Authority" tell me where I will  sleep at night. Let the Holiday Inn Express in Seattle know that they can leave the room open to their regulars. Call the "Edgewater" and let them know that Caleb Cale will be staying there for the week leading up to April 3rd. Understand? If I remember correctly that will place me 7 minutes away from the theater via car and if I wanted to jog the 1.2 miles it'd be nothing"

(Ana quickly pulls up her tablet and starts to research the hotel.)

Ana: "Ye..Yes, Sir."

(Cale looks at Ana inquisitively)

Cale: "Are you cold?"

Ana: "No, Sir, Why?"

Cale: "Because you seem to keep stuttering. I keep it at a relatively comfortable temperature of 72 degrees in here."

(Ana gets flustered and continues to look busy in the tablet.)

Cale: "Who am I fighting?"

Ana: "Mr. Cale, It looks like you will be up against a, "Kool Kincaid". His last 10 match results will be found in the file along with his medical record, just as you asked."

(Cale grabs the file and sits in the large leather chair facing the desk.)

Cale: "That'll be all, Ana. Thank you."

(Ana slowly exits the room as Caleb flips through the file)

Cale: "The door...please"

(Ana closes the door and the scene fades.)
